Specialty Projects

As an artisan, I draw deep inspiration from traditional woodworking cultures around the world—particularly Japanese joinery and Northern European vernacular architecture and woodcraft. These traditions represent some of the most enduring homes, churches, temples, and objects ever created.

What makes them remarkable is not only their beauty, but the ingenuity behind them—artisans working with limited tools and materials to create structures and pieces that have lasted for centuries. It’s a legacy of craft that continues to humble and inspire my work today.

Much of this knowledge is at risk of being forgotten, set aside in favor of speed, convenience, and cost-cutting. My work is rooted in the belief that these traditions still matter, and that time-honored techniques can still create pieces that speak to those who value authenticity, human touch, and enduring beauty.
