Specialty Projects

As an artisan, I draw deep inspiration from traditional woodworking cultures around the world—particularly Japanese joinery and Northern European vernacular architecture and woodcraft. These traditions represent some of the most enduring homes, churches, temples, and objects ever created.

What makes them remarkable isn't just their beauty, but the ingenuity behind them—artisans working with limited tools and materials, yet creating structures and pieces that have lasted for centuries. It’s a legacy of craft that continues to humble and inspire.

Today, much of this knowledge is at risk of being forgotten, set aside in favor of speed, convenience, and cost-cutting. But I believe that’s a mistake.

My work is rooted in the belief that these traditions still matter. With the education and experience I’ve been fortunate to receive, I aim to carry forward these time-honored techniques—to create pieces that speak to those who value authenticity, human touch, and enduring beauty.
